How to please Goddess Lakshmi – 16 Hindu Rituals


Almost every human being loves money and wants to be rich. Every human life has to follow the life cycle of karma, upon which they will face many obstacles in their life. Our sastras say that we can please goddess Lakshmi and get blessings of her by following few rituals.

Learn how to please Goddess Lakshmi:

  • Wake up early morning
  • Clean the premises and apply the coat of cow dung. Decorate the house with rangoli designs (muggulu).
  • On every Friday apply turmeric powder to door bottom (gadapa) and decorate with kumkum tilak
  • Decorate the entrance of the house with mango leaves
  • Serving cow by providing corn to eat
  • If you have any opinion of donating cow or donation in cowshed then it should be done on Friday
  • If we chant Lakshmi mantra using Padma garland then will always be blessed with the goddess
  • Never we have to sleep late on Friday morning and during sunset
  • If you have leftover food or curries you should not throw them, instead, you should donate to the poor. People who donate things will be blessed with the goddess as she resides in a donation.


  • Any donations done in this life will help you get better birth in next life. (karma cycle)
  • Worship goddess with Padma flowers and respect Vedas and people who recite Vedas.
  • On Dhana triyodasi, you should put some cooked rice at the entrance. Lamplight on that rice and welcome goddess Lakshmi. 
  • On Diwali night whoever removes dishti (eye shore) with til seeds then they will be blessed with wealth.
  • On the eve of Diwali, you should put all your gold and silver ornaments in front of goddess Lakshmi and chant Lakshmi ashtotaram and Sri suktha parayanam. This pray will make goddess happy and she resides in your house by making ghal ghal sounds.
  • We need to lamplight in front of Tulasi (Basil) tree during the month of Karthika. By doing this Lord Narayan along with wife Lakshmi will bless you.
  • Pour pot full water and tie it with white cloth and place it in Eesanya direction.
