Some offer unlimited water to be flown over Shivling which we call it as jalanthika (vessel with a small hole). Importance of Akshaya Tritiya Akshaya Tritiya is one of the auspicious days in Hindu mythology. Today in order to get a blessing from Goddess Lakshmi everyone has to pray goddess by doing abhishekam with cow milk enchanted with srisuktham. Goddess Lakshmi will be blessing their children in the form of Ashta Lakshmi (eight forms). She will not just provide wealth but also provide all kinds of fortune like knowledge, health, food, life, children, etc. Because she blesses with all these fortunes it is said to donate to others is considered to be good on this day. Every person has to donate some fraction of his earning to others in need. Whoever donates gold on this day they will obtain immense blessings of the goddess.
