What are the specific flowers offered to god? We find many beautiful flowers on this planet but there are specific flowers to be offered to our deity. Flowers play a prominent role during puja or any other occasions. There are few flowers which should not be offered to the god and some of them have a significant role in puja. When it comes to Lord Shiva, jilledu (madar ), ganneru (Plumerias), maredu (bael), tammy (palm), uttareni leaves (prickly chaff), Jammi (Bulrush) leaves and flowers and nalla kaluva flowers are considered as best to offer.
