Who is Vimana Venkateshwara Swamy?
Who is Vimana Venkateshwara Swamy? In order to bless his devotees, Lord Venkateshwara left Vaikunta and came to earth. Tirupati is considered to be kaliyuga Vaikunta. Gopuram of the temple is coated with gold plate. On the top of golden gopuram having silver gates, Lord Sri Venkateshwara resides. (Silver gates resemble to show the location of the lord). Many of the devotees after having the blessing of Lord Venkateshwara come out and see Vimana Venkateshwara Swamy who is above the golden gopuram. On lord Vishnu's order, Garukmanta bought Vimana Venkateswara from Vaikunta. You can find him on the gopuram vayuvya (north-west) direction. Lord is placed on top to give blessings for gods, birds and other creatures.
