Importance of Vadapappu during festivals

Why do we do vadappapu during festivals?



Normally during festivals, we cook a variety of sweets and snacks. Due to heavy sugar levels and oil content in these recipes, our stomach struggles to digest what all we eat.

Vadapappu and panakam (a drink made from jaggery) will sooth our stomach and helps in digestion. This is the reason why we offer it to god and consume.



What is the rule of the matching bride and groom?


According to Vedas, before a match is considered we need to check the hierarchy of father to 7 levels and hierarchy of mother to 6 levels. We need to perform a marriage between the two parties who don’t have any blood relationship. Also, we need to take care of ‘gotras’ where marriages should never be held in same gotras.

In other words, marriage is a process of taking bride in presence of both the family members upon an agreement that groom shares all his happiness and obeys all kinds of Dharma’s equally
