Types Of Punishments In Hell/ Yama Loka

According to ancient scripts, there are different worlds like "Swarga Loka" where there are no sorrows and have only joy, "Yama Loka or hell" where we are being punished for our sins.

According to Garuda Purana, there are different punishments for our sins, they are:
Punishments In Hell

  • If eye on others wealth and other female property, we are being put in darkness and beat with sticks
  • Acquire female property and punish her - throw us on axed trees in a darkness
  • People who don't care about their parents - throw them below the sun and burn like ash
  • If we have an affair with the people with whom we should not have - If it is female, they are made to hug with the burning male idol and vice versa
  • If we speak false - we are being thrown from the hilltop and mash us

Like this, there are punishments for all our sins. According to Garuda purana, there are 84 lakh punishments. It is said every human should read or at least listen to Garuda Purana so that they can realize their punishments in Yamaloka. By reading garudapurana, we can realize our sins and start doing some good things and control our sins and try to stop doing them.
