Why should we do pradakshanas around temple

Why Should we do pradakshanas around temple

In the word pradakshana, "pra" means destruction of our sins... "dha” means to blessing for our wishes... "ksha" means to give good birth in our next succession birth... "na" means remove our ignorance or possess divine knowledge.
Without our notice, when moving around the temple, there is a great hidden meaning in the word pradakshana. In ancient, even lord Ganesh circumambulated around lord Shiva and Prvathi and attained the boon equivalent to rotate around whole universe. So when we are rotating around god, it means we are getting an equivalent boon of rotating whole universe, it becomes "atma pradhakshana". It means oh god! I am putting my whole concentration on you, believing and implementing your sacred divine words and praying you with whole heartedly.
