How to Please Lord Shiva and Get Blesssings of Lord Shiva

Lord Shiva is known for blessing with wealth but he will be seen by applying ashes whole over his body. He is also called as Bhola Shankar as he will provide any kind of boon with little penance of worship.

Tips to please Lord Shiva and get blessings of Lord Shiva:


 As we cannot touch god or goddess foot in the temple, we find “shatagopam” which has god’s foot imprints on it. It is considered good if we put that shatagopam on our head part where we have Sahasrara chakra. As it touches our body we should think our birth on this earth has fulfilled then our visit to temple gets fulfilled.



When you visit Lord Shiva temple, We need to take maredu (bael) leaves given by the priest and touch those leaves to our eyes. We have to place those leaves on the spine of Nandhi and touch back of nandhi with your left hand and its horns with right-hand fingers. If we watch Lord Shiva with our forefinger and thumb placing on horns it is good. Lord Shiva and Parvathi will always be seated on Nandhi.

After this process, we need to get the blessing of Goddess Parvathi so it’s good to perform Kumkumarchana and apply that kumkum tilak on our forehead and vibhoodhi. Before leaving the temple we need to ring the bell three times and without showing our back to lord we need to sit in front of the Shiva Linga and meditate. With “Om” sounds we should be able to see Lord’s form on our forehead. This is what real fact in visiting the god.
