Why do we wear white clothes during the first night and also wear white clothes when a husband is dead?

Many of us think that we wear the same kind of saree during two instances. But it’s not true. When newly married women reach her husband with milk glass, she wears white saree. Here white saree indicates peace. Normally we find zaree along with the white saree, before wearing white saree, it is decorated with turmeric powder.

In another case, we don’t put any kind of turmeric powder and we don’t find any zaree along with the saree.
