While giving aarti to god, why will we ring bell? We find “Achari” the person who spells mantras and pray god, will ring bell in the temple several times. i.e.: while offering “naivedyam” (fruits, flowers etc.), while singing wake up song early morning, before closing temple, while giving aarti we ring bell.    We have special significance in ringing bell during aarti, it tells us that we are welcoming all the gods. Because of Brugu maharshi’s insult of Lord Vishnu before Goddess Lakshmi, she gets disappointed and goes to Kolhapuram. Later on Lord Vishnu takes human avatar and starts meditation on Venkatadri.    During the period of meditation, there will be formation of mud around him. In order to serve food to Lord Vishnu, cow named Kamadhenu starts pouring milk into the mud formation and relieves hunger of Lord Vishnu.    One day protector of the cow gets doubt on the cow as it is was giving less milk. He follows the cow and sees that the cow is pouring its milk into the mud. He gets angry and tries to hit with a bamboo stick on the head of the cow.    Lord Vishnu realizes the incident and tries to escape the cow and gets hurt. The hurt was below the beard. Because of this incidence there will always butter applied on the chin.

What is meant by brahma muhurtham The son born to Kashyapa brahama and vinitha devi is Anurudu. He is the chariot of Lord Sun. Vinitha devi was very anxious to his son.
